Have you stockpiled cans of food? Do you have an adequate supply of water? Can you make fire, even with no supplies? See, I’ve been learning all the rules and there are two that stand out when I read them Can you live alone? How quickly can you make decisions? See my decision-making process is slow I go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth again My deliberation makes me crazy. It makes others crazy too. I keep calling my mom to ask her what to do When the apocalypse comes When the apocalypse comes When the world starts to end will you be ready? When the apocalypse comes When the apocalypse comes When the tide starts to rise will you have your ship together? You see, according to the rules I’ll probably be dead I can’t seem to live alone Because I can’t make decisions So maybe if I save us enough food I count on you to make decisions Will I make you crazy? You don’t have to answer tonight In fact, don’t tell me, don’t tell me It’s better left unsaid I’ll keep saving water and practice catching fish instead Maybe if I save us enough food I count on you to make decisions? I’m making you crazy. Baby, please don’t answer tonight Sweetheart, don’t tell me, don’t tell me It’s better left unsaid I’ll stockpile toilet paper and practice gardening instead

While the world is empty When this world casts a might swipe Takes it all away A lot happening lately Seemed to drop on our heads All at once Like every single day We all fucked around and ended up Just where they said we would And if it would’ve happened Doesn’t mean it should Sometime you don’t know shit Til you step right in it Don’t let another minute of this pass Until you change your heart And we won’t die alone We won’t die at all I swear we’re not alone We’ll leave a future For those to discover The world’s fucking crazy And everything gets a little worse Don’t let that take you away Gotta start thinking maybe If you just keep going for one more day It might fade away We won’t die alone We we die at all We won’t die alone We won’t die at all I swear we’re not alone We’ll leave a future For those to discover We all fucked around and ended up Just where they said we would And if it would’ve happened Doesn’t mean it should Sometime you don’t know shit Til you step right in it Don’t let another minute of this pass Until you change your heart

Temperatures 03:46
I wanna crawl under the covers with you until our temperatures rise It’s too cold to go outside It’s too cold to go outside You press against me and I start to sweat and I get lost in your eyes I see a galaxy staring back at me When I’m done with it it’s never done with me I need something real I can reach out my hands and realize the person I’m reaching is you I’m always wanting what’s beyond my grasp but I don’t want to let go of what I have I want it all And every time I think I’ve changed I find myself back here doing the same old goddamn things I am missing out no matter what I do Maybe when this moment’s a memory I’ll see I was anxious about things that are probably fine Baby, I want you to stay with me The night is dark but your touch ignites sparks I need you tonight

Hearts meld, into places They were never meant to be Hearts break, into pieces That’s the price of being free I heard the sound of my ego breaking Feels like the ground underneath my feet is shaking All I want to say is one more thing You look good, a loosey goosey A little light oh goodness me Check mate, had me reeling That’s the price of being free I know you said you were asking for the taking But your kiss was danger in the making If I could go right back there I would say Why don’t you spend the night? I’ll be talking in my sleep The future looks so bright And yesterday is so far away It’s so far away A sharp look. A whim of fancy. But who can say it’s not for me? Let loose in hostile waters Now the pressure falls on me I hear you crying when you call me on the phone I felt like dying in a hole all alone If I could hit you back my text would say Why don’t you spend the night? I’ll be talking in my sleep The future looks so bright And yesterday is so far away So far away… When I saw you on the street With a smile that can’t be beat and I asked you to run away with me Why don’t you spend the night? I’ll be talking in my sleep The future looks so bright And yesterday is so far away So far away…

They never told me It would hurt a lot Thought I’d step up And take a shot They said, “Mister, is that all you got?” So I spend my life in worry Send myself to ruin I bought a big car Just to load it down But I’ll see the graveyard ‘fore I leave this town Will I know love From underground If I spend my life in worry Send myself to ruin? Can’t you see That it’s unfair to me? Just cut me down So you can go to sleep You know my promises I never keep When I spend my live in worry Send myself to ruin Yes, I really want it I miss my brother And my family But I can’t let them See that side of me Won’t these people Just let me be? So I spend my life in worry Send myself to ruin I bought that big car Just to load it down (hi yoo!) But it’ll see the junkyard ‘fore we leave this town And watch the love grow From underground If I spend my life in worry Send myself to ruin Yes, I really want it I should have called you One last time

Just My Love 03:14
There must of been an answer For what I done wrong There must have been an answer Other than the same song Even if it just all adds up to nothing Nothing is gonna show wrong Even if we piss it down the drain We’ll toast it’s name and sing it along Running by at the speed of life No turning round no exit signs Run aground, Run yourself down Run around, out of time Too much to turn around Yes I believe it’s just my love Yes I believe in just my love Yes I believe it’s just too much Too much to turn it around It must have been a salvation You walking away There must’ve been a reason Why you couldn’t stay Even though that I know, I can’t control it No matter how hard I try Even if it keep me awake at night Wondering why Round and round, we fall to the ground Too much to turn around Yes I believe it’s just my love Yes I believe in just my love Yes I believe it’s just too much Too much to turn it around

“We should be closer.” That’s what she said “We don’t understand about each other." Called me a loser That’s what I heard But I can’t live without her Tell me why does falling in love seem such a bad thing? When everybody does! You say you love me Ain’t that a shame? I can’t understand a single word you Spoke out against me Those other days Or it’s a spell of bold amnesia So why does falling in love seem such a bad thing? When everybody does! I love you I need a break I love you Everybody does And if everybody does, are they tripping on heart strings? I chose love And wanted to give I chose love But wants can change

She said “they told me to stay in my house And they insisted I cover my mouth My pantry is empty. My stomach is growling.” Her voice shakes through the door chain “Did you wash your hands?” I pushed past a man sprawled on the pavement Vultures upon him People peered through their drapes while the TV complains The cop screams “Buddy keep six feet! You better watch whose air you breathe.” My neighbor bled out in the street last week While sobbing “no one will touch me” Their daughter is missing her photo is buried on the bus stop under flyers demanding “Did you wash your hands?”

It was horrifying When the others said “yes” But it was me before Now I’m gonna step aside It was early on When my friends showed me That what you talk about Controls your life But it’s ok To let it show Plant the seed And let it grow Do the best With what you know Plant the seed And let it We’ll you’re fussing and a fighting about the things you say aren’t true And I can only wonder what the hell is wrong with you We can measure out the lies and all the shit that you don’t know But you believe your words are flawless cuz your momma told you so It’s ok To let it show Plant the seed And let it grow Do the best With what you know Plant the seed And let it

about

Let it Grow explores the themes of love and conflict with an emphasis on overcoming obstacles. While the Alpha’s exact genre is difficult to pin down, the music evokes influences spanning from 60s psychedelic through 90s alternative. The result is a rocking, yet intimate collection that proves to be a thoroughly modernized spin on a concept album.

about

Alpha Rabbit Trenton, New Jersey

From the central New Jersey area, Jake Foy, Joe “Dim” Wolstenholme and Jaime Parker flawlessly transition between bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards, embracing their collective indecisiveness to explore musical genres and reflective themes.

Each brings slightly different styles to the table, but their combined influence creates songs that are dynamic, energetic, fun, and thought-provoking.
